Ochlawaha Leadership Society

“Gary and I have been supporters of United Way in all of the many places we have lived. United Way is such a great way to support our community. There are so many nonprofits; it is difficult to choose those that help themost. When you give to United Way you know your money is being used for the benefit of themost efficient and worthy groups.”

Beverly and Gary Dillon

The Ochlawaha Society was established in 1989 to give leadership donors the opportunity to join together to build a strong foundation of support for Henderson County’s health and human service needs.

GIVE:

Ochlawaha Society members give $1,000 or more annually in Henderson County through United Way because they are committed to improving the human condition and advancing the common good in our community.

Our leaders in giving are an essential part of the United Way of Henderson County. In 2014, 361 donors joined this caring force for good, investing more than $471,200 in our community.

ADVOCATE:

Ochlawaha Society members know that Living United means being a part of the change. By lending their voice, becoming informed on local issues, and telling their friends about community needs, Society members are champions of advancing the common good here in Henderson County.

VOLUNTEER:

Ochlawaha Society members recognize that each of us has special talents and generously share their time, experience, and expertise with United Way and with numerous Henderson County non-profits, serving on local boards, volunteering with the UWHC annual campaign, and acting as mentors. Many also serve on funds allocations panels, ensuring the greatest impact of donor dollars.

On behalf of the United Way Board of Directors, volunteers and staff, the member agencies providing essential and inspiring services, but, most importantly, the growing number of Henderson County residents who are directly touched by UWHC funded programs, please accept our appreciation and admiration for your leadership, trust and support.
